Ensifera Camp, founded in 2019 by Cesar Cusihuaman, is a unique refuge dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity, where birds, including hummingbirds, find a safe and thriving home in their natural habitat. Located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, this sanctuary highlights the importance of birds as indicators of the region’s ecological health and as fundamental beings for the balance of local ecosystems.
The conservation of this sanctuary is not only about caring for birds, but also about protecting a fragile area, rich in biodiversity, that faces threats due to climate change and human activity.
