This trip will take you to a large area dominated by spectacular landscapes and ecosystems that relate to their own life zones; starting with the impressive Vilcabamba mountain range, the high mountains with their unique birds and flora.
This is a new adventure trip for photographers, naturalists and birdwatchers who want a little more of the wild and Andean elfin forest ecosystem.

Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa
Departure from the hotel at 4:00 am to drive towards Mollepata. On the way, we stop in the road to observe some specific birds, such as the White-eared Puffbird and Creamy-breasted Canastero (Pale-tailed). Then, we continue until we reach Mollepata to have our breakfast.
After breakfast, we will drive towards Soraypampa. From this point we will start an uphill hike in search of the Vilcabamba Tapaculo and other endemic birds. Finishing our birding activities, we will return to Mollepata.
At the end of the tour, we will return to Cusco. We might have the opportunity to stop on the way to see some interesting birds.
On this day we will see the following endemic birds and the most difficult to find, such as:

- Apurimac Spinetail (endemic)
- White-tufted Sunbeam (endemic)
- Chestnut-breasted Mountain-Finch (endemic)
- Rusty-fronted Canastero (endemic)
- Creamy-crested Spinetail (endemic)
- Apurimac brush Finch (endemic)
- Green and white hummingbird (endemic)
- Purple-backed Thornbill
- Mountain Velvetbreast
- White-bellied Woodstar
- Blue-mantled Thornbill
- Andean Hillstar (seasonal)
- Crimson-mantled Woodpecker and others.
